DRIFFOLD GALLERY

A Favourite Gallery Of The Midlands
A Favourite Gallery of the Midlands - supplying fine works across the U.K. Established in 1983 and now one of the best known Fine Art Dealers in Central England. The Gallery occupies the whole of 'The Smithy,' a grade II listed building of deceptive size adjacent to Royal Sutton Coldfield town centre. This is one of the Bishop Vesey buildings dating from the 14th and 15th centuries which are an important part of Sutton's heritage. Despite being on the busy Birmingham road, it remains an oasis of tranquility and conveniently has it's own visitors' car park on the premises.

Proprietor, David Gilbert, believes the success of the business is due to the wide range of subjects, styles and prices, with Victorian, Impressionist and Modern artists being represented. And all pictures are firmly vetted to good London and Universal standards, promising lasting pleasure and investment potential in a satisfying combination. The gallery has also gained a reputation for pictures that have remained in lovely unspoiled condition, rather than buying rough and restoring and a comprehensive guarantee is standard. When it comes to taste, the gallery believes the important thing is that, " it's a good taste of the artist." David was arts columnist for 'Select' Magazines and a consultant editor to ' Miller's Picture Price Guides.' Values are most realistic for choice condition pictures and range from three to five figures.

The gallery does not generally expose stock on the web but it invites enquiries from collectors and dealers looking for general or specific items. We will be happy to forward email images or photographs on a one to one basis, and delivery on home approval may be arranged. Please telephone 0121 355 5433 or email - enquiries@driffoldgallery.com
